ATM Deadline Extension

There is a new deadline for the EMV – aka “chip card” – conversion of ATM machines – it was extended to 10/21/16 – which is quickly approaching.

Do you know a restaurant or retail shop owner who has their own private ATM machine to help their customers with cash? If so, and until they convert their ATM machine over to be chip ready, they will be liable for any stolen cards which get processed on their local machine.

If you’re an accountant with clients who own a restaurant or retail shop owners, you may want to pass this on to them so they can update their ATM now.
